Now part of the reinstated Taylor Walker chain, we've known The Raglan for a long time. The Tardis-like interior opens up as you enter the pub, seemingly much larger on the inside than out. There's a decent enough range of real ales on the hand pumps, plus the usual suspects on tap, lunchtime food and a traditional looking interior. It gets crowded in the evenings, just after work, especially on Friday nights, although there is some room to breathe upstairs. It's now open at weekends and we suspect the opening of the nearby One New Change shopping centre may have had a part to play in that - this area used to be dead at weekends as soon as one left the immediate area of St Paul's Cathedral. That said, during the week the clientele is mostly composed of people from the surrounding offices and the occasional visitor on route to the Museum of London.
