The regeneration of Kings Cross has been in full swing for a while now and is set to continue, but not everything in place before the shiny new buildings arrived needs to be changed. The Lucas Arms has been a model of consistency for a number of years, catering to the many visitors who find themselves stopping nearby, but also retaining the feel of a local's boozer. It's a Greene King pub so the beer options are fairly decent and a pool table, large screen and outside space are all reasons to recommend in an area short of such options. There is also food available until 9pm. It is especially handy before a gig at the Water Rats or Scala and is only a 5 minute stumble from the station at closing time.
