Masons Arms, Kensal Green
FancyaPint?'s review...
Now owned by the Real Pub Company, behind the North London Tavern in Kilburn and The Oxford in Kentish Town, and it's happily their equal. Some of the old flavour of the place has gone, but the last refit has enhanced the Victorian interior and the new pub still plays host to some of the old punters. It's still a pub and the beer's decent along with a decent array of drinks, but the menu's gone more upmarket and a bit gastro. Sensible pub grub and. As pub refits go, this one gets the thumbs up - though if only they kept the old place's jukebox: we were itching to choose something from 'Classic Irish Colleens' to blank out the noodly jazz-funk heard on our last visit...
