Despite the old name this was hardly an outpost for émigré Scots, just a regular haunt for local office staff. It's been given a name change and a lick of paint and not much else has changed: it still feels like a pub casting envious glances at the Champagne Bar up the road.

From Temple: After leaving the station, head up the hill on Arundel Street. Turn right when you reach the main road - the Law Courts are visible across the road on your left - and take the first right into Milford Lane. The pub is just on the left.
