The Beautiful South wrote a song with the line "Whiskey! Whiskey! - so good they named it twice". Well, you can't get fairer than that here. By day this place is a shop (run by a couple of chaps who know more about whiskey than the sixteen men of Tain). There's a small bar upstairs in the shop section for daytime tasting. At 6pm the bar downstairs opens. It's well worth a visit if you like whiskey - over 250 mainly malts in stock for your tasting. And if you like it, you can pop upstairs and buy it as the shop part is open until 11pm. No music, no food, no fruit machines, a bit of bottled beer, the occasional bit of wine and more whiskey than you will ever drink. Peace and quiet and a wee dram in the heart of Soho. 15 QUID COVER CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!
No longer a bar - so, longer in the guide
That's not the end of the story - tell us what you know about this pub
This pub is no longer open, but that doesn't mean we're not interested in it any more. If you have anything to tell fancyapint.com readers about this pub, let us know using the comments below, or via email to editor@fancyapint.com. It might be something about its history, an anecdote about the past, what the future plans are for it, or even it's reopened again as a pub - it has been known to happen.
Exit the tube station at the Charing Cross Road South exit, take the first right and head towards Soho Square, turn left into Greek Street and look for the shop with the brown bay window.
