This long, thin shop conversion was formerly a Wetherspoon, but like others in the chain which were recently sold off, this one has become a Misty Moon. We didn't notice a dramatic change, however. It is still predominantly a local's affair and many of the staff and customers seem to be on first name terms here. The shape means it's a rather dingy pub and even the small back garden is pretty depressing. There are a couple of plasma screens, primarily for showing cricket and football and it serves food later than most the other pubs around. Nevertheless, there are enough drinking alternatives in High Barnet.
