Mongolian Grill (ex-Traders), Clapham Common
our final review

We suppose it was only a matter of time before such a one-off pub would be subsumed into generic Clapham lounging. We're still a bit gutted that it's finally happened though. No longer the most idiosyncratic pub in SW4 this one's now been re-launched as a Dim Sum Eatery & Wine Bar. So out go the fairy lights and a notable pub quiz and in come the red lanterns and the Charlie Chan posters. I suppose we should be thankful it's not another generic gastro makeover but given they've left some of the old signs up you can't help us pining for the old place. As for Traders itself, it all looks very similar to the Drunken Monkey over in Shoreditch. Though is this its sister bar? And why did Mistress P's have to close in the first place? Even the great Chan might not be able to work this out. Either way, a fine pub with a bit of character has bitten the dust. A real shame.
No longer a pub, it's now a Mongolian Grill.
That's not the end of the story - tell us what you know about this pub
This pub is no longer open, but that doesn't mean we're not interested in it any more. If you have anything to tell fancyapint.com readers about this pub, let us know using the comments below, or via email to email@example.com. It might be something about its history, an anecdote about the past, what the future plans are for it, or even it's reopened again as a pub - it has been known to happen.
29 North Street, Clapham Common, London, SW4 0HJ
Take the exit for the Old Town and follow the road round along The Pavement and straight through Old Town (passing the Rose and Crown). Pass the Fire Station on your right and at the roundabout talk the fork on your left (North Street). The pub is just a little way further on.
