Monkhams Inn, Buckhurst Hill
FancyaPint?'s review...
This huge, well-maintained pub tries to offer something for everyone and, by and large, succeeds. It has the lot, loads of pool tables, TV screens, games machines, pub food, ATM, juke box, beer garden, pub dogs - everything. Disappointingly, and this is the let down for us, the beer's nothing special, being mostly the fizzy stuff you'd expect a younger suburban crowd to drink. Happy hour offers half price music on the juke box and pool, so, if you're around 21 and on a budget, this could be the place and time for you.

How to find the Monkhams Inn pub
It's almost right outside Roding Valley station (which shuts at 8pm). Leave the station by the exit on the platform on which trains run towards Hainault, and turn right down Station Way (as opposed to Station Approach, the exit on the other platform). You'll see the pub ahead on your left. From Buckhurst Hill, turn right out of the station, then take the first right, and first right again, Albert Road. Walk ahead for around ten minutes and you'll find the pub on the right. .
