Curtains drawn, door shut. From the outside it's easy to assume the worst, lump this one in with Holloway's hardcore Irish boozers and walk past. Fear not though, step inside and you'll be hit by a glorious pub interior: wall mirrors, intricate tile work, fitted banquettes - the full Victorian Monty. The stark exterior probably puts a few off but when we last looked in there was still a fairly wide representation of N19 filling this one up. What with a pool table, darts, enough screens for the sport (oh, and a decent drop of Guinness) it's easy to see why. There's regular live music upstairs in Phelan's Bar, too. Throw in friendly and efficient staff and you have one of the best pubs in the area. Seems it's been that way for a while...

Possibly the best pub in the world!!!

Family run so lots of love; great atmosphere, good mix of people, warm interior, good duke box, Export at £2.85 a pint and free sandwiches with the football on a Sunday......

Also live music most weeks so, depending on who's playing the place can get pretty rocking. Boxing day with 'The Bad Tempers' was certainly one to tell the kids about!!!

Even rang to wish the place happy mothers day - that's how much love this place deserves!!
