Nambucca, sitting on a fairly unremarkable stretch of Holloway Road, appears at first glance to lack many distinctive features itself. It is, though, not the decor which attracts the punters but the variety and quality of music on offer. You're guaranteed a live performance every night over the weekend and regularly during the week too, including the twice-monthly Wonk Wednesdays, with DJ's providing additional entertainment. Depending on when you visit it could be anything from indie, electro, rock or hip-hop that provides the soundtrack to your night. It seems the Holloways make fairly regular appearances too, but perhaps that is no surprise considering it's where they formed the band. The stage is at the back of the pub on a raised area, with well worn sofas at the front. Of course, depending on the day and time, there may be a charge for entry.

No doubt this place will finally succumb to closure. The game is up for Ted Tuppen and Enterprise Inns.
