New Globe, Mile End
FancyaPint?'s review...
This pub and restaurant hasn't changed in the last few years we've been going there, and it still suffers being located just around the corner from Queen Mary & Westfield college. Last time we were there, it was a bit grim, but it has been trying to do better. The pub has a reasonable selection of beer, it's the clientele and practically deafening music which let it down.

I thought this place was really decent - the music was right, there was enough seats and the bucket of 10 Carlsberg for £12, while not what I normally drink, was a bargain. Close to everything, I would recommend this place

Although pretty basic and rough around the edges, the place has improved a lot and has very much taken advantage of its location next to QM. It used to be drab but now boasts a great club night on thursdays (think it's called How's Your Father?). They've also started to put live music on upstairs on fridays. Certainly breathed some new life into the old place and the hot girls are still there, just more plentiful! Apart from the Victoria there isn't much else that gets me excited in the area

You could say suffers from being round the corner from QMW (and it does) but its rubbish anyway and at least the proximity to QMW does mean you get some attractive girls in there sometimes which, given the nearet good pub is a good 10 minutes away (Palm Tree), means it is worth a shout for a couple of quick ones.
