New Moon, Fenchurch Street
FancyaPint?'s review...
Thanks to its location - in the heart of the city and inside the grand old Leadenhall Market - the New Moon is a very popular pub with the city types from roundabout. You can stand outside in the covered market when it's not too cold and that's what many people choose to do. (Be warned, if you want to smoke, you have to step outside the market). But, even with the very long bar and plenty of staff, this pub's overwhelming popularity still means getting served at peak times can be a bit of a trail of patience. As it's a Greene King pub, the range of beers on offer is pretty familiar - Greene King IPA, Speckled Hen etc. and there's also everyday pub grub at lunch times. Not the greatest pub in the area, but not the worst either.
