No longer a proper pub, the New Red Lion is now a 'theatre that you can have a few drinks at'. We understand that if you go at 5pm on a weekday evening and, provided you leave before the show starts at 7:30pm, you can have a casual pint, but as we were there for the show we didn't test that. However, for those of you theatrically inclined, it is a very pleasant establishment with some nice beers and wine to choose from, a small but delicious menu, and a cosy atmosphere.

How to find the New Red Lion (ex Offside) pub
Angel: Turn left out of the tube, then left again down City Road. The pub is on your left after less than 5 minutes. Old Street: Take exit 8 for City Road. Walk up City Road for about 10 minutes (past Moorfields Eye Hospital) and the pub is on the other side of the road.
