O'Connors, Palmers Green
our final review

Once you pluck up enough courage to enter, this one isn't as foreboding as the exterior (particularly the prominent CCTV sign) suggests. Though the bare walls and the thatch above the bar conjure up images of John Wayne and Victor McLaglen slugging it out in 'The Quiet Man', there weren't many punters with trouble on their minds on our visit. In fact, there weren't many punters at all. No doubt it's a busier affair when there is a band on, but visit when the amps are unplugged and you may well have the place (including a pool table) to yourself. (4/4/04)
Closed down.

From Palmers Green BR station: exit and turn left down the hill. You'll see the pub over the road from you when you reach the roundabout.
