Old King's Head, Borough
FancyaPint?'s review...
Borough High Street abounds in famous watering holes, but this is one of the area's lesser known pubs. It may not have as historic a setting as some of its neighbours, but it makes up for it with its genial staff, a good range of beers and a decent atmosphere. The one-room bar feel can give off a slightly claustrophobic atmosphere, but escape comes in the form of the upstairs room. If, however, what you're looking for in a pub near London Bridge is a traditional, straightforward boozer, then this one is certainly worth a look.

A bit unfair the review from FAP. There is a lot more to this pub than just being convenient - good selection of ales and at the moment this is heavily weighted to St Austell. There's a lot of regular trade here and thus it gets busy most of the week - surely a good thing for pubs?
With a function room upstairs this is a good amenity so close to the rail network. Staff are good and the pub is clean inside and out - what more can you ask?
