A pleasant looking pub from the outside, it doesn't disappoint inside either. One of an increasingly rare number of pubs that still retains two totally separate bars, inside it's warm and welcoming. With the addition of brass pots and pans for ornaments and the TV showing cricket (with the sound off), this is definitely a provincial Enfield pub, but thankfully it sticks to the right side of twee. With friendly staff, cheap food and drink plus a nicely balanced mix of locals, this pub delivers on almost all counts. A strong three pinter.

This is a really nice traditional pub that doesnt disappoint on any level, the staff are friendly, there is a good choice of beer and ales and the building itself retains most of its original and beautiful interior architecture. A nice pub all round.
