One, Lewisham
FancyaPint?'s review...
Seasoned Lewisham drinkers may remember this place as the down-at-heel White Horse. Refurbished and re-branded a while ago, One stands for youth and modernity over stale lager and string vests, but does it work? Let's list a few ingredients: big screen Sky, continental lagers, chart music, DFSesque furnishings, bad art and cocktails with cringeworthy names. The result is a bright, mildly discomfiting atmosphere akin to spending too long in a shopping centre. The phrase "1990s theme pub" sprang to the lips of a companion and that is pretty apposite. Singular name, singular experience.
