As one of the few sentient (and let's not be so picky at the back, thank you) beings in the galaxy who has never knowingly been inside an O'Neill's, Dino was rather surprised. Experts on dead languages reckon that: 'It's quite nice here' was a fair translation. The stripped wood, solid tables and chairs and benches with a couple of squashy settees in the window area and a food menu including colcannon (cholesterol supercharged mash to the non-Gaelic) and Irish stew, along with Caffrey's, Murphy's and (there's a surprise) Guinness and - a real surprise -Tetley's (for the ladies no doubt) all looked rather fun. Sport is the order of the day on the tellies, so if you don't like it, tough. Don't pretend this is a classy place - but it does the business for those who want it. An ice age or two ago, even Dino would be up for a weekend night out here.
