Formerly a slightly sprawling pub (and grotty, too) called the Angel, this follows the usual O'Neill's formula. Apparently the pub is situated in the original brewing area. It has a beer garden which gets pretty full on a nice day, along with a late licence and occasional live music. There's the usual faux-Irish 'charm', good Guinness, but no real ale or bitter, food, music. Reasonably shy of loonies, its welcoming enough and a good place to due to its location near Ilford Station.
