An odd cultural experience this one. An Irish boozer (complete with the usual kitsch paddywhackery such as road signs taken from the Gaeltaecht - why do people still do this? Visitors to Kerry are now stealing road signs to take home with them such is the power of the cliché) on the fringes of Turkish London. This one is directly opposite a mosque, perhaps that explains the lack of customer in such a big place. As places to watch the racing of an afternoon or meet up with friends for the evening there are worse, but there's nothing outstanding here apart from the large number of chamber pots hanging from the wall. We cannot think of any rational explanation.

How to find the O'Riordans Kings Head pub

This isn't really near a tube as it's one of those parts of London that doesn't get the tube. From Liverpool Street, take the Bishopsgate exit from the main station and get a bus (149 or 242) up Kingsland Road. The pub is just before the canal on the left, situated on the corner of Nutall Street.
