The park Tavern is located in a residential road nestled between houses and about 800 metres from the Kingston Gate entrance of Richmond Park. From the exterior it has the look of a real local traditional pub, but once inside the picture changes: the decoration is scruffy and the seating is some of the worst we have encountered. The majority is made up of hard and uncomfortable wooden benches. There is a small selection of cask ales but the prices are sky high, especially in view of the general standard of the pub -we paid 3.60 for a very average pint. The service was pleasant but very slow and food is not available. It may have once been a nice pub but it is certainly well past its heyday and with the cost of drinks, we can see little to recommend it.
