Northfields has a small handful of pubs, but if you're in the area the Plough is probably your best bet. Its a big, busy place, which although subject to a recent modest refurbishment, still retains the atmosphere of a proper pub. All of this seems to suit the mixed clientele, which ranges from young locals having a few drinks before heading into Central London, to diners and older regulars. It was pretty hectic on our Friday night visit, but there was enough space to accommodate everyone comfortably and the friendly staff coped well under pressure. We also suspect it has got a late licence of some sort, as we've spied people still drinking here at approaching midnight on the weekend. A good local pub which serves the community very well.

The plough has had an extension on it's extension. The conservatory out back has gone and been expanded into a richly decorated seating area where you get he impression they'd prefer you to eat rather than drink. thankfully they've not lost any of the lovely beer garden / outside space.

Visited there last weekend after a gap of about 2 months. service very good, beers ok, but the mens toilets are still unfortunately swimming in p*ss after 10pm.
