If you were growing up in this part of London now, we guess you could be forgiven for thinking all pubs are like the ones just off Battersea Park Road, mainly traditional pubs that have gone to the gastropub academy and turned out like this one. Don't get us wrong, it's nice enough, and the beer we had was very nice on a cold day - although we would have liked to be able to sit by the fire, which wasn't lit on a particularly chill afternoon. The food looks good and the locals seem friendlier than in some of the other pubs in the area and the staff were pleasant to deal with, too. The fact it's no longer a copy of an All Bar One is also a bonus for us, and we're glad to see they've done so well. While we would recommend this pub, perhaps if it had been the first one in the road we'd gone into it would have stood out more.
