This fairly traditional, if a bit quirky, pub in the back streets of Kilburn has a lot going for it, though the smell of stale fag smoke does linger a bit - what must it have been like to last this long after the smoking ban? It's a massive pile with lots going on and what appears to be a dedicated following. Advertised when we were in last were karaoke, a disco, the regular quiz and a Sunday pool tourney. It does food, which is all prepared by the attached Malaysian/Thai restaurant (that appears to do karaoke as well - obviously a popular choice), including a few English dishes. Most of the regulars were eating Thai when we were in last, which is probably not a bad thing. The biggest complaint we had was the only bitter on the bar was John Smiths. It's nothing to go out of your way for, but you could do a lot worse. Besides, where else can you go to a karaoke/disco/quiz?
