There are fewer and fewer suburban boozers left in London, especially ones as well preserved as The Prince of Wales. The sort of spick and span place you know the owners take great pride in, its clientele and atmosphere are everything you expect from a traditional local pub. Nothing flash, nothing gimmicky, just a comfortable place for a few drinks and a natter. It's a bit out of the way perhaps, though very handy if you're heading to the greyhound races at Wimbledon Stadium.
