Prince of Wales, Earl's Court
FancyaPint?'s review...
This one's been recently done up and the flock wallpaper is a nice touch - we could still smell the new paint smells when we walked in, well, new paint mixed with the smell of curry (made us feel slightly nauseous, to be honest). But other than the facelift, it hasn't really changed much. The local workers were still much in evidence and that's not really a surprise. It does a lot right, with four ales on the pumps, cheap and cheerful pub grub, plenty of place to sit, including a large garden and front terrace, and cheerful staff that don't seem phased by the crowds that pour into the place. Even with all the people, it was pleasant enough, although the smell of the Chicken Tikka Masala (and chips) did put us off a bit. Smells aside, you should be able to get a decent drink here, it just might be a bit of an achievement to actually find somewhere to drink it when it's busy.

How to find the Prince of Wales pub
From West Brompton: turn left out of the station and it should be visible across the street. From Earls Court: head for the exhibition centre end of the station, but bear left through the car parks and past West Brompton station. Turn right into Lillie road and it's just on the right at the next corner.
