Queen's Arms, Maida Vale
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Queen's Arms is a large two-roomed locals pub, with well-kept Young's beers on tap (a rarity on Kilburn High Road), real fireplaces and a genuinely mixed clientele. On our last visit, the youngest customer was barely 18 and the oldest well over 80. There's friendly service and a good atmosphere - its the sort of pub where random people might come and chat to you about politics or football. Some may find it a rather dingy affair here, but others will infinitely prefer its down-to-earth nature compared to the anonymous stripped pine sort of pub. It certainly serves the locals well enough and for that you can't complain.

Things have changed with the Queen's since your last review. Gone is the typical Young's pub, as has the brewery, and it is now run by a more food-orientated and eastern European management. Bitter is not their strong point and I would advise the discerning ale drinker to try somewhere else...a great shame really.
