Railway, Hornchurch
FancyaPint?'s review...
A comfortable and welcoming large pub, with friendly staff and efficient, polite, service. Busy with young and old, all civil and sociably vivacious, when we popped in, the pub has a very reasonable selection of drinks, with several lagers, three real ales on hand pumps, and a fair array of wines and fruity nonalcoholic beverages too. The only quibble is, that as part of a chain, The Railway is just a tad generic as regards its fittings, appearance, and so on. Still, there are worse chains than Ember, and it is in the running for the title of 'best pub a stone's throw from a tube station at the Eastern end of the District line', for what that's worth.
