Robin Hood, Loughton
FancyaPint?'s review...
On the corner of a roundabout in the middle of Epping Forest is this nice looking pub, which unfortunately on closer inspection is now predominantly a Thai Restaurant. The main bar is still a pub though - and quite nice too, decked out in a slightly chintzy mix of 1970's country pub and Thai accoutrements. The beers are nothing to write about, but the service is good and the chubby pub cat is only too pleased to waddle over and say hello. With a nice beer garden and reasonably priced food, it's a good enough place to stop off while taking a stroll through the forest.

How to find the Robin Hood pub
Nearest tube is Loughton, although its a bit of a walk. But exit right onto Station Road and walk to the end where you'll join the High Road. Forest Road is directly opposite and keep walking down there as it becomes Earl's Way, which is where Epping Forest begins. Beware there's no pavement. Eventually you'll reach the roundabout where you'll find the pub. You're more likely to have driven to the area and luckily there's a car park to one side.
