Rocket, Euston
FancyaPint?'s review...
Still part of the Scream chain, it's still geared fundamentally to the student market (note the cheap drinks and an emphasis on chips and beans on the menu), this one also picks up a clientele from neighbouring Somers Town. All the bases are covered entertainment wise (TVs for the football, two pool tables and a video jukebox) and you should find a seat given the size of the pub. Admittedly it's not to everyone's tastes, but if you look upon this one as a stepping stone for students from union bars to proper pubs, you'll (perhaps) acknowledge the important work it does in preparing its young charges for life in the Real World. So then - who's up for a snakebite and black?

Shows the football, but no real beer on tap, selection of Lager and Tetleys only. Food not bad, bit overpriced for what it is, and took an age to arrive. Staff rather unfriendly when I visited during the day. The "real fire" is an electric fire in the fireplace! Opens until late, but not much else going for it really
