Rose & Crown, Southwark
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Rose and Crown is a lovely, well-kept old boozer frequented by locals, workers from the offices from roundabout and a few sporty types from the sports ground just across the way. It effuses a local and homely atmosphere aided and abetted by the prompt, polite and friendly service. It's just off the beaten track, so it means it doesn't get too crowded and in summer a large beer garden out back adds significantly to the available space. It serves a pretty good pint of Shepherd Neame ale and decent, cheap pub grub. Opening times can be a little unpredictable, we've yet to find it open at the weekend. But it's a very nice place to pop into during the week.
