Well, it's not a Wetherspoon pub any longer, and it shows. It's opted for more of a sports bar approach which, as usual, translates into lager, big screens, hard flooring and that cold bar look we've seen too much of. Okay, there are real ale pumps - five to be exact - but there were only two beers on and we can't say the IPA we had was the best kept beer. It's a bit of a landmark and has a lovely tiled Victorian facade, and may be worth using as a meeting place, but that's about all we can recommend it for. Shame it's gone downhill since the change.
