One of the oldest pubs in Croydon has shut and is up for redevelopment. We think it's still going to be a pub, as it is Grade II listed, we just hope they don't do anything drastic to the interior. As it's right across the street from the parish church and church hall, we do have to wonder where the worshippers will be going for their tipple now.

How to find the Rose & Crown pub

It's just down the road from Church Street tram stop, towards the church and the (seemingly inescapable) flyover. West Croydon and East Croydon stations are both about 10 minutes walk away.
