A decent locals' pub in a quiet area of Greenwich (there are some handsome terraced streets around here and houses are somewhat cheaper than Roupell Street, if you're interested). The Royal Standard has a fairly cosy interior, and a garden centre-style terrace at the back for sunny days. Nothing special on the drinks front here, just the regular selection. Karaoke happens every Saturday night if you're in the mood - we recently saw a local give a fine rendition of 'Little Old Wine Drinker Me' without moving from his barstool. If you fancy a drink away from the usual suspects in central Greenwich, this pub offers a quieter, less hectic experience.
