Sawyers Arms, Lancaster Gate
FancyaPint?'s review...
This one was a bit of a surprise, as we seem to have missed it for a while now. Its location isn't a great asset, but it doesn't seem to suffer the problems pub closer to the station have. It's got reasonable beer (both for price and quality) and while there is an element of a transient population, there's still a feeling that it's got regulars that use it and keep coming back, which stops it from being an airport bar. That, plus the offer of Sunday Roast, is more than enough to make it a better bet than some nearby in our book. And with plenty of nooks and crannies, not to mention outdoor tables, it should be much problem finding a place to sit, either.
