Shuckburgh Arms, Brompton

A sadly empty (when we were last there), nice big old place. Specialises in Guinness - plenty of pumps - so often appears in Irish pub listings. There's an extensive, cheap, but rather unimaginative menu, but if you're hungry, who cares? Sport on the TV, you could do a lot worse.

This pub is no longer open, but that doesn't mean we're not interested in it any more. If you have anything to tell fancyapint.com readers about this pub, let us know using the comments below, or via email to editor@fancyapint.com. It might be something about its history, an anecdote about the past, what the future plans are for it, or even it's reopened again as a pub - it has been known to happen.
47 Denyer Street, Knightsbridge, London, SW3 2LX
Sloane Square: cross the square and take the road to the left of Peter Jones department store. Turn right and walk to Milner Street(4th left) then turn left. Walk along Milner Street and you should see the pub in front of you. From South Ken turn left down Pelham Street, when you get to the junction with Fulham/Brompton Road cross it and then turn right down Draycott Street (almost straight ahead of you). Denyer Street is 4th left and the pub is at the other end of the short street.
