Strutton Arms, Westminster
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Strutton Arms is a standard looking chain pub situated at the head of the attractive Strutton Ground and its attached market. It's rather sports focused, with a number of screens and it's hard to escape it here when its on, although the back is probably the best bet if you're not a fan, while the seating along the right hand side wall is the most cosy The service was acceptable but pretty unenthusiastic especially considering the quietness at the time of our visit. We also thought perhaps there might be some recognition of its role in entertainment history. But no; corporate posters for various drinks offers and sports events were the decoration here - probably in accordance with head office. Fine for a drink, we felt it was a pub with more than one missed opportunity.

Worst pub in london. Bought a pint today 13th nov, 2009. HORRIBLE BAR!!!Large head. Asked the bar tender kindly for a smaller head. He rudely said NO! And walked off. He never came back. I approached him and asked him and he said they are large pint glasses and so the big head. Cut a long story short, RUDE barman, disgusting service, Horrible bar - avoid it like the plague!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the early 70's, the Strutton Arms was a good pub. We worked round in Artillery Row, and used the Strutton for a number of farewells &c. Beer was good, food was good and they had a jukebox ("Ruby, don't take your love to town"). I remember one night - some bugger through a brick through the window! Ah, happy memories!
