We've know this pub for a long time, and it's reasonable enough. The rather nice period interior is worth a visit, but be warned the long and narrow downstair bar can get overly full of office workers around knocking-off time. And if you want to get away from the hordes, there is always the upstairs bar, which is often an oasis in the middle of all Covent Garden's chaos. It does a nice, if limited, pint of ale and reasonably priced pubbe grubbe, but visit it in the afternoon when there's less competition.

Detailed Description

Since opening, we have enjoyed meeting those that frequented the pub when under the previous ownership, and we have been delighted to welcome a whole new crowd that have now become our regulars. Customers both new and old now altogether enjoy the newly updated and contemporary, yet still traditional vibe that The Sun Tavern offers.
 

After office hours, The Sun Tavern is bustling with a lively, young professional crowd, enjoying a drink or two after a hard day at the office. The second visit of the day for some whom earlier that day joined us for lunch! However, it is the first visit for other customers, arriving for pre-theatre dinner before a short stroll to one of the surrounding theatres.
 

The Sun Tavern offers a fantastic upstairs bar which is also available for hire. Many customers have enjoyed a lively night here! On the flip side, the quieter times sees the upstairs bar for those wanting a little 'escape', relaxing by the window, overlooking sprightly Long Acre.
