Finsbury Park can offer a lot more than old man's boozers these days (though is still well-served in that department), which means T-Bird doesn't stand out as much as when it first arrived. Comfortably worn sofas nestle with an assortment of other chairs to make this long, thin venue appear less like a corridor, but unless you get a seat it is hard to find anywhere to stand out of the way - especially with the smoking increasing traffic through the middle. The décor probably needs a bit of a lift now and the beer selection shows a distinct lack of imagination unless extra cold bland lager is your tipple of choice, though we still think it's worth a visit. The jukebox has an indie flavour, and is free on a Monday, while regular DJ slots and open mic nights provide further stimulation for your ears. Hopefully the comedy night we stumbled upon a couple of years ago is no longer a regular feature - we were almost reduced to hammering rusty nails into our eyeballs to escape the pain.
