Known as Shillelagh's until recently, Temple Bar is an unreconstructed Irish pub that does a job for its locals. The Guinness, as you'd expect, is fine and there was snooker on the telly (though the reception was inexplicably poor) when we stopped by. There are no real ales on offer but the service was friendly enough and customers are left to themselves. Regular sessions of Irish traditional music are held, which might be worth catching; judging by the rest of the pub, they should be authentic.
