The Albany is a pretty decent pub. The beer is fine - up to Cask Marque standard, no less - with a selection of guest ales on the hand pumps as well as Leffe and Hoegaarden for those in a continental mood. The service is good and there's a stronger emphasis on food with an improved menu, including lunch and evening snacks. It's had another makeover which the clientele seem to like, but it's a little on the noisy side when its full. Also well established, the basement is known as Low-down and has comedy on every night, interspersed with regular club nights.

Good selection of drafts, right across the bar. Food was good. Will be revisiting to check out the entertainment. Would be nice to not have cutlery set on all tables - pub atmos first please.
