The Albert, Primrose Hill
FancyaPint?'s review...
Not surprising for the area, the Albert is an old pub that had an upgrade a few years ago now. With good, fresh food being served at Primrose Hill prices, it would be easy to argue that this is a pub bordering on gastro territory. However, it's still distinctively a pub, even if the stripped interior and country kitchen tables simply mean a slightly more modern version. Plenty of old-school locals still pop by and the atmosphere is unpretentious and welcoming. A great beer garden, complete with an Apple Tree in the middle, only adds to The Albert's charms, but the plastic garden furniture doesn't lend itself to the otherwise elegant surroundings. Still, spending time here is relaxed and pleasant - especially on a sunny day in the garden - the Albert is a very good pub for this neck of the woods.

Only called in by chance for a quick drink and a sit down and so glad we did. The friendly atmosphere was apparent as soon as we opened the door from both staff and customers. Couldn't have wished for a warmer welcome and the beer was great.
Thank you to Erin and Stephen for a lovely afternoon. Next time we are in London the Albert will be one of our first ports of call. Would recommend it to anyone.

Horrible horrible pub - avoid at all cost. The food was un-editable, the staff totally rude about it with a manager who couldn't even be asked to come and speak to us when we tried to complain. Awful - there are some lovely pubs just around the corner - make sure you visit one of these and avoid this place - don't waste your money

How to find the The Albert pub
From Chalk Farm, your best bet is to use an A-Z. It's easier to get to the pub from Regent's Park, with Princess Road being very close to the exits from London Zoo on Albert Road.
