The Anthologist, Bank
FancyaPint?'s review...
A massive establishment just a stone's throw from the Guildhall in the City of London, this fairly new venue is part restaurant, part bar, with strict seating at lunchtimes, although there is some less formal space at the end of the bar. The decor's smart and fashionably trendy, taking it as far from pubby as you can get. Apparently one can dine at the 'Chef's Table', marking it as quite upmarket, and there's even a Deli off the restaurant. Our only complaint was the amount of time it took a little while to attract our server. When we did get served, drinks arrived almost instantly and our very good food not long after. The staff are friendly enough and there are enough of them that it shouldn't be that hard to get a drink. Decent beer and food make this a reasonable experience, overall. And all those local office workers can't be wrong.
