The Apollo, Marylebone
our final review

Although this place doesn't seem entirely sure of the market it's aiming for, it's certainly a step up from it's previous incarnation. It's a sort of cross between an All Bar One and a real ale pub. The beer is good and the service is polite, prompt and friendly. On our last visit, though, it seems to have settled in and picked up a regular clientele, so they know why they're there, which is good. It's not a bad place and certainly better than some of the "trendier" places in the area. It's also seems to be less crowded than the pubs nearer the station.
This one's all boarded up - and has been for some time. It doesn't look like it's coming back.
That's not the end of the story - tell us what you know about this pub
This pub is no longer open, but that doesn't mean we're not interested in it any more. If you have anything to tell fancyapint.com readers about this pub, let us know using the comments below, or via email to editor@fancyapint.com. It might be something about its history, an anecdote about the past, what the future plans are for it, or even it's reopened again as a pub - it has been known to happen.
28 Paddington Street, Marylebone, London, W1U 5QR
Cross the road from the tube (take the pedestrian tunnel if it's open) for Baker Street. Proceed down Baker Street and take the second left. Carpe Diem is ahead on the left.
