The Artful Dodger, Mill Hill

Not my normal establishment but I was stuck in traffic and needed a bio-break. This place is a sports bar, and it is difficult to see how it makes any money at all. The place was empty and all the screens were on showing some football match or another. There don't appear to be any other pubs within walking distance so maybe this gets busier later. All major sports covered on the screens.
Artful Dodger has shut up shop for good, it seems.
That's not the end of the story - tell us what you know about this pub
This pub is no longer open, but that doesn't mean we're not interested in it any more. If you have anything to tell fancyapint.com readers about this pub, let us know using the comments below, or via email to editor@fancyapint.com. It might be something about its history, an anecdote about the past, what the future plans are for it, or even it's reopened again as a pub - it has been known to happen.
420 Watford Way, Mill Hill, London, NW7 2QJ
From the A41/A1 southbound from Apex corner. Follow the road round, and stay in the left hand lane as if heading for Finchley. At the traffic lights turn into the lay-by for the parade of shops. You can't miss the Artful Dodger from there.
