The Bailey, Highbury
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Bailey seems to have so much going for it, attracting a good mix of clientele and occupying a spot nor far from the tube, but it has never quite ticked all the boxes for us. One of the constant problems we find is that getting a pint can take an eternity - even in quieter moments. It did, though, on our last visit provide enough time to spot that plastic glasses were being used and to allow a quick exit. It seems to attract the most trade either for a pre or post-match pint for Gooners, or for any Arsenal game on TV, but at other times there is a good chance of grabbing a table. There is a giant screen at the back and five small TVs in the main room, so it's easy to find a pretty good spot. It also serves Thai food and Sunday roasts, and now that the Highbury Garage is back open, this one's a handy pre-gig meeting place.
