The Beaten Docket, Cricklewood
FancyaPint?'s review...
As much as we like a good Wetherspoons, we have to admit there are poor examples - and this is one of them. To our mind, the sine qua non of Wetherspoons is real ale, but in this poor zone 3 outpost only the big boys of the ale world dare to venture. Of the 5 ales available, 4 are mass produced (think Pedigree, etc) and only one is guest. The decoration is typical Wetherspoons-vivid carpets and bizarrely on the walls - lasts (that's shoe moulds to me and you). We have been back here several times, just in case things improved, but they have not. Sadly, since the demise of the Windmill over the road and even with the refurbishment of the McGowans a few doors up, this is your best bet unless you pop up the road to The Crown.
