The Beech Tree, Bromley
FancyaPint?'s review...
This family-run pub, being slightly out of the centre, is really one for the locals. It's quite a bold looking stand-alone building, rather different, with its huge bay window. Inside, there is nothing particularly all that special about it, spacious, pretty traditional style. They have a nice open fire in the winter and for the summer there are tables outside, but they are at the front and the pub is on a busy road. There is a pool table, but it's usually busy, despite the fact that it's 1.50 a game. The drink selection is just of the norm, and the food is basically bar type snacks, burgers and the like, cheap though. The thing to note about this pub though is that you will receive a warm welcome. You probably only have to go back once and they will remember you. So a nice place to catch a quiet one, but not the sort of place to go if you are looking for a kicking Friday night out. Another thing to note if wine is your preferred tipple; they only sell 125 ml size glasses! Very annoying.
