The Beehive, Brixton
FancyaPint?'s review...
The thing about the Wetherspoon chain is that you can often predict what you'll find. So sure enough, this was everything we expected from Brixton's branch of the franchise: cheap beer, real ales and pensioners, of course. Then add to the mix some rather alarming local types who'd been taking advantage of the low prices (some of them incapable of speech) and the distinctive local atmosphere of craziness, deliquescence, noise and a hint of repressed violence and you have something that is probably best described as "interesting". Or in diplomatic speak, "handy for the Academy".
