The Beehive, Vauxhall
FancyaPint?'s review...
Yet another pub we've managed to miss in our perambulations. You'd be forgiven for thinking this pub's shut from the outside - we certainly did. The traditional pub facade and frosted windows give it a deserted look during the day. We saw someone coming out and went in to investigate. Inside, it's a modern extravaganza with stripped floors, comfy chairs and gas fires and it was pretty busy for a late afternoon when we were in last. Decent enough, the bar staff are efficient if not terribly friendly, although that may have been a side-effect of being busy. The beer on the pumps is well-kept, offering Young's and Pride on our visit. With all the tellies spread around the place, it's a grand place to watch the footy. And the garden out the back offers a welcome haven from the busy road out the front. We'll definitely be making a return visit.
